Curriculum

Our curriculum aims to be ambitious for every child so that all children, including those with SEND, are able to let their light shine before others (Matthew 5:16).

Every lesson is full of the very best of what has been thought and what has been said; and our teaching helps pupils to remember long term the content they have been taught and to integrate new knowledge into larger ideas.

Each unit of learning within each curriculum area has been clearly planned and sequenced with an expectation of what should be known by the end. This forms the basis of our assessment strategy and subsequent intervention.

Our curriculum is shaped by our Christian vision and reflects our local context; we address gaps in knowledge and skills and have a strong focus on developing reading fluency and preparing children for life in modern Britain.
