Design and Technology at Tenison's
Curriculum Intent for Design and Technology
Our curriculum intent is to develop well-grounded design students, whom in their Design and Technology work demonstrate due care and consideration for the social, moral and environmental concerns of our community as well as others.
Our schemes of work reflect the standards, concerns, skills and knowledge that students are required to attain. They also develop links to other subjects such as Science and Mathematics. This empowers our students to design for the community, tackle complex issues such as disability with dignity, choose materials and processes wisely thus ensuring that there is hope for the future.
At Archbishop Tenison's, our curriculum has been developed with a clear focus on the core knowledge we think every child should learn.
Our Knowledge Tracker maps when knowledge is taught and how it is built upon over time.
