Computer Science at Tenision's

Curriculum Intent for Computer Science

Our Computer Science curriculum allows students to 'let their light shine' by allowing them to think in more logical ways and become better at making decisions and solve problems.

In Computer Science, we develop wisdom by learning how different parts of a computer work together and how computers represent data. Students develop skills in programming systems and understand how computers communicate through networks. They also understand how vital Technology is in today’s society and the impact and issues that can arise from using computer systems and how to improve them.

Hope is developed by encouraging students to set clear and attainable goals; develop different learning strategies to reach their goals; and by challenging and motivating them to meet their goals.

In Computer Science community is demonstrated through group work and peer tutoring where students are encouraged to work together and help one another and also by behaving positively toward one another. This increases individual achievement and builds confidence. Also, it allows students to demonstrate dignity as students learn to respect one another and listen to each other’s points of view, which leads to building personal skills.
