Science

The Science Department at Archbishop Tenison's is a well-resourced and successful Department. There are five laboratories supported by two Technicians. ICT resources in the Department are good and constantly improving.

At Key Stage 3, all pupils follow the 'Heinemann' Scheme. A Science Club runs every week, giving pupils the opportunity to enhance their Science curriculum beyond the boundaries of the National Curriculum.

At GCSE all pupils follow the AQA Modular A Course. Most study for double award, a small group study for single award, and a quarter of students study for separate Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

The NL6 offers Advanced Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Physics and Biology are taught entirely at the Archbishop Tenison's site where the OCR Advanced Physics and Advanced Biology syllabus are followed.
