Drama
This year the drama department has grown and drama is now being taught to years 7, 8, and 9.
Each class has been split into two groups who are taught on a carousel roster with Music. The groups are swapped each half term, allowing students to study both music and drama every term. This arrangement is highly beneficial to both students and teachers as it allows longer lessons with a smaller number of pupils in each group, thus increasing the amount of individual time the teacher is able to spend with each student.
During Term 1 Archbishop Tenison's School was visited by Boxclever Theatre Company who performed 'The Hate Plays' by year 9 students. The plays focussed on the topic of bullying and after the production some interesting discussion and performance took place during drama lessons.
Archbishop Tenison's School harbours some budding young thespians who endeavour to pursue drama outside of school and are regularly attending classes at the Oval House Theatre Company and through the National Youth Theatre.
